Drug-Free Illinois Workplace
Program
Eligible businesses in Champaign
County can receive up to $5,000 worth of free
drug testing for their employees through a
program sponsored by the Champaign County
Chamber of Commerce. The Drug-Free Illinois
Workplace Program is designed to assist small to
medium sized businesses with the cost of drug
testing, a necessary and often costly component
of safety in the workplace.
To be eligible for this program,
a business should meet the following criteria:

Be a member of
the Champaign County Chamber of Commerce
and/or the Illinois State Chamber

Be located in the state of
Illinois
-
Employ 500 or less full time
employees in the local community

Have an existing drug-free
workplace policy in place or be in the
process of creating one

Not currently conducting the
type of drug testing for which funding is
requested, i.e., a business may currently do
pre-employment drug testing, but now wants
to conduct random drug testing
-
Not mandated by an agency of
the state or federal government to conduct
drug testing.
Funding for this program is
provided by the Illinois Department of Human
Service’s Division of Community Health and
Prevention and the Illinois Department of Human
Services Division of Alcoholism and Substance
Abuse. The Illinois State Chamber of Commerce is
the coordinating agency for the program’s
statewide efforts.
Drug testing services are
provided by Carle Clinic Association, Christie
Clinic, Provena Occupational Health, Prairie
Center, and Safeworks Illinois. Businesses
