The City of Urbana's Arts and Culture Program and The Urbana Free Library invite you to a closing reception for The Passions Project, an Artist of the Corridor Exhibition on display December 2019-January 2020. The reception will feature brief comments, activities, and performances for people of all ages Refreshments will be served. Free and open to the public! -------About the Exhibition--------- The Passions Project is an exhibition of portraits of residents of Urbana's Clark Lindsey Village. These striking black and white portraits capture older adults at Clark-Lindsey engaged in their passions. National photographer, Heidi Wagner, created this project in hopes of redefining how we perceive age by allowing viewers to forge a connection with subjects that challenges traditional views of aging. Clark Lindsey strives to create an environment that empowers all older adults to thrive, making this partnership a natural fit. -----About Clark Lindsey Village, Inc.--------- Clark-Lindsey Village, Inc., the area’s only nonprofit life plan community was established in 1978 and is located on 27 acres in southeast Urbana. It offers independent living in The Village, with 131 apartments and 16 villas. Meadowbrook Health Center at Clark-Lindsey provides assisted living and skilled nursing care. Renewal Therapy Center, within Meadowbrook Health Center, provides inpatient and outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapies. Added in 2017, is a new Wellness Center, complete with an indoor pool, as well as Two Green House Homes. One is assisted living specializing in memory care and the other is licensed skilled care. -----Artist of the Corridor Exhibitions---- Artist of the Corridor is a dual-site exhibition with artworks displayed at the City of Urbana and The Urbana Free Library sponsored by the Urbana Arts and Culture Program.
