Webinar Summary:
Transitioning from the military to civilian sector can be daunting and confusing. In this webinar, we’ll cover the unique and in-demand skill sets that military applicants bring, how to craft a resume and cover letter that translates your military experience to civilian jobs, interview preparation, and what to expect leading up to your first day at your new job.

Presenter:
Liz Borman has worked in human resources for 12 years and is current the Human Resources Manager at the City of Urbana. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Media Studies and Master’s in Urban & Regional Planning from U of I, as well as a Masters of Public Administration degree from Governor’s State University. Liz is also a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources.
Her professional concentration has been in the field of recruitment and selection and loves nothing more than to connect talented job-seekers with great positions where they can grow and thrive. In her spare time, she is active in her church and enjoys crafting, cooking, and spending time with her family.
