A strong resume and cover letter is the foundation to a successful job search. Learn what to write (and what not to), how to explain employment gaps, and ways to use your resume to prepare for the interview process.

Presenter:
Liz Borman has worked in human resources for 12 years and is current the Human Resources Manager at the City of Urbana. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Media Studies, a Master’s in Urban & Regional Planning from U of I, and a Masters of Public Administration from Governor’s State University. Liz is also a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources.
Her professional concentration has been in the areas of recruitment and selection and she loves nothing more than to connect talented job-seekers with great positions where they can grow and thrive. In her spare time, she is active in her church and enjoys crafting, cooking, and spending time with her family
