DESCRIPTION:Summary: \n\nNew laws surrounding the recreational use of Cannabis mean changes for employers. This seminar will focus on general cannabis issues and recommendations\, as well as\, how this can impact in workers' compensation cases.\n\n \n\nColin & Michael will provide recommendations for drafting policies and plans handling matters that arise before an accident even happens\, as well as how to investigate and document the facts critical to an employer's defense of a claim. \n\n \n\nDue to presenters belief it will be nearly impossible to cover all scenarios\, or issues\, that an employer may encounter\; extra time will be devoted to the Question and Answer session. The hope is to have an open discussion about each issue\, with each participant. \n\n\n\n \n\nSeminar info level: Beginner\n\n \n\nPresenters: \nPartner Colin Mills has been a practicing law since 2005 and became a Partner in 2013. He represents a variety of clients including insurers\, third-party administrators\, self-insured entities\, municipalities\, school districts\, trucking companies\, food and beverage distributors\, agricultural equipment manufacturers\, construction companies\, restaurants\, retail stores\, nursing homes\, moving companies\, and hospitals/medical care facilities. \n\n \n\nAssociate Attorney Michael Bantz has been practicing law since 2012 and with Inman & Fitzgibbons since 2013.
