The Champaign County Chamber of Commerce is a dynamic business association committed to supporting the success of businesses and entrepreneurs in our community. We offer a wide range of services to help businesses of all sizes to thrive, including business counseling, workforce development and education.

We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for working with businesses to help them identify and overcome challenges and develop growth and success strategies. You will work with our director for K-12 partnerships and oversee other workforce initiatives that help our members grow their workforce.

The primary responsibilities are:

• Provide business counseling, including helping to develop business plans, connecting them with subject matter experts and identifying funding opportunities.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities and threats to the business community.
• Develop and implement workforce programs in partnership with stakeholders that meet the needs of local employers and job seekers.
• Build authentic partnerships that help the Chamber to further its mission to help our members.
• Monitor and report on program outcomes and use data to continuously improve our services and programs
• Serve as the liaison to business mentors and clients.
• Develops educational offerings that meet the needs of the business community.
• Serve as the staff support for the Champaign County microloan program.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, sales economics or other related fields. Minimum of three-year experience working with business leaders. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to build and sustain partnerships. Learns new information quickly and can apply that new knowledge appropriately. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data and market research to inform decision-making.
