    The Print Shop and Mail Room Services Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the College’s print shop and mailroom services which include administrative and managerial/supervisory functions.
     

    The Print Shop and Mail Room Services Manager position is a full-time, exempt, 12 month Confidential/Supervisory appointment on a schedule established by the Director of Marketing and Public Relations. This position requires the ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing, manage a diverse staff, maintain positive work relationships, possess strong organizational skills, computer skills and the ability to oversee and operate large production copiers and mail machines.  The Print Shop and Mail Room Services Manager frequently handles and maintains confidential information and records.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Provide the overall leadership, direction, and management of the print shop and mailroom.
    • Manage College’s printing needs, including obtaining bids when necessary.
    • Maintain inventory of machines and supplies; order supplies when needed, make service calls to vendors, and work with College departments and vendors to purchase print shop/mailroom equipment.
    • Operate production copiers and mailroom machines while providing a high level of customer service. 
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices & standards.
    • Hire, train, and supervise full-time and part-time staff. 
    • Initiate new and review established services and procedures to ensure operations are efficient and cost effective. 
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
    • Three (3) years prior management/supervisory experience.
    • Three (3) years prior work experience with production copier equipment.
    • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. frequently and stand for long periods of time during the scheduled workday. 
    • Must acquire forklift certification within the first 6 months of employment.
