Role at the Champaign County Chamber:
I serve as the Public Policy Director. Essentially, I navigate legislative policy as it relates to businesses in our community. I am a resource for the business community and legislators, and I serve as a liaison for you in advocating for your needs across all levels of government.
Favorite childhood book(s):
I loved the Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer. I reread each book multiple times, and I still own the entire collection.
Favorite food:
While I love trying new foods (the spicier the better!), my guilty pleasure always comes back to chicken tenders.
Favorite Chamber event/program:
Champaign County First. It’s great to see the community coming together to advocate for exciting, innovative projects, but it also provides for great experiences with legislators and agencies across all levels of government.
If you could possess any super power what would it be?
Telepathy.
Rock, Paper, or Scissors?
No preference. However, I typically pick one and see it through to the end.
What’s on your iPod/phone?
My Spotify is a constant mix between Country and Showtunes. No matter what, though, it’s always a full karaoke session with me.
What is the best advice you have ever received?
Listen twice as often as you speak. A past teacher of mine once said that to me, and I’ve never forgotten it.
