Champaign County Chamber Association Health Plan:
The recent announcement of Health Alliance's closure marks a shift in our local healthcare landscape. The closure will affect many businesses participating in the Champaign County Chamber of Commerce's association health plan. While this change presents undeniable challenges, the Chamber has acted swiftly and strategically to safeguard our members' access to affordable, high-quality coverage. We are proactively partnering with seven other central Illinois chambers of commerce to identify a new carrier to ensure continuity of care and cost savings.
We are working with a general agent to issue an RFP by July 1. The due date for the completed RFP is mid-August and we plan for a quick decision so we can distribute information and have a new plan launched on September 1.
Whatever plan we land on, the process will remain the same for our members. Members in good standing can have the new Chamber plan quoted by your local insurance broker. Chamber members who do not have a broker but would like to receive a quote can receive a complete list of member brokers from the Chamber.
Our commitment is to provide innovative, competitive health benefit solutions that help our members thrive. Lastly, Health Alliance has always been a good partner to the Chamber. We thank the Health Alliance team for their past contribution to our business community.
